J.G.
Jones
first came to the attention of the comic fans while working on SHI
during the mid-90s. Following an impressive outing on
a Hellboy special, Jones re-launched Marvel’s femme fatale
Black Widow. He designed and drew Grant Morrison’s Marvel
Boy, became the regular cover artist on WildStorm Productions’
flagship Wildcats, and did a story arc for Spider-Man.
He has contributed covers for a myriad of other titles, ranging
from Codename: Knockout and Nightwing to Just
a Pilgrim (which was optioned by Catch 23 Entertainment and
is soon to be a major motion picture). DC Comics released
his original hardcover graphic novel Wonder Woman/Batman: The
Hiketeia in 2002. He is currently garnering acclaim for
his painted covers for Vertigo’s smash-hit Y: The Last Man.
2003 will see him become the cover artist on Marvel’s The Avengers
and contribute an original story to the official website for
“The Matrix” (Warner Bros.)
